300W Light?
I need one, possibly two, 300W light sources to be powered (attached to) my navigator. Will regular power inverter be able to do this and will the vehicle be able to power one, or two, of these reflectors?

Your alternator might not take the beating for long, but you could probably get them to start (Assuming you're running HID's). You would want to use a 1000 watt power inverter for each. (i'd strongly recommend only having one).

Any idea what's needed/required to successfully run two of them?

HID's need a lot of power to start, but not a lot to keep them going.
I'd make sure i have a real good battery, minimum 140 amp alternator, and get
2 X capacitor (same measurement of fahrads per watt as a amp, afaik .5 fahard per 200w)
2 X 1000w inverter
and big gauge wiring between the battery, cap and inverter.
If the car is leased, dont get the alternator (just wait for stock one to go. With the caps, it might last longer)
I can see if i can get you a DC/DC 300w HID kit a kit that would run on the car's stock 12V system, but i'm 99% sure there's nothing with that kind of wattage available.

300W @ 13.9V @ 80% inverter efficiency = 27 amp draw per light. You're looking at roughly 60 amp draw, make sure your wiring is up to snuff, and you will have to wire it directly to battery (obviously) as cig lighter is rated at 10 amp max (most cars are 5 amp).

^^just wanted to point out that the 60 amp draw will be from the inverters and ballasts themselves. If your vehicle has a 80amp alternator, you'll only have 20 amps to run everything else (heated seats, rear defogger, fuel pump, amp, etc can take up a lot of power)

There are two types of people in this world. Those with loaded guns and those that dig. Now dig.
