Hand brake adjustment

Hi,

My hand brake handle won't go completly down

It's always up by about an inch, maybe about 15 degrees.

Can anybody tell me how to adjust it correctly?

There are 2 10mm nuts on the bottom if you take the boot off.

The way I do it is, take the back wheels off, tighten the cables till you feel the sleightest resistance in the rotors, the loosen it off a couple turns tills theres no resistance.

Left nut is left side, right is right.

Here are 2 pictures of the handbrake. You can see how it stays up...

And here it is when I hold it down.

It piss me off cause the handbrake light stays on...

the little plastic springy things inside the boot are messed?? take off the boot and see if it'll sit down.

Most likely one side is corroded either in the line, or the pivot mechanism close to the parking brake shoes themselves. I suggest taking it apart when the weather clears up.
