yes that's the motor i was looking towards, but is there a big advantage in options when moving up from a 325 to a 330?

Not really, most 330s do have sport seats and a few more standard options.
I haven't seen to many sport seat 325i/ci, but they do exist.
I've also seen a few 323ci with sport seats, which is pretty rare.
Are you looking at a coupe or sedan?
