Apple, while gaining market share, still only holds a very small amont, save the itouch/iphone markets. In terms of mobile computing I would assume that MS will continue to enjoy the largest piece of pie for quite a while relying solely on its current client base and their unwillingness to learn new/different tech. Microsoft rarely produces something better than the status quo themselves as it is cheaper to by the idea/technology/company from competitor. So maybe this future shows that Microsoft will have a hostile takeover of Apple.
there will always be power as you said but theres a lot of base work to be done to support the power the future will need. lots of cabling and power plants, etc will need renovations and to be upgraded to handle the power. we can sure provide the power but lots of things will need to change so the power can be handled safely. i still think apple is ahead of the game compared to microsoft. they got multi touch on tons of their device and have proven hardware where as microsoft only has software stuff. major difference when it comes to technology.
