What should I do with my 97 M3

Hello All,

I hope I can get some generic advice.

My 1997 BMW M3 has approx. 140,000 Miles (yes miles, I bought the car in the US).

I made a huge error several years ago storing my car when I was out of the country. As such, the car is rusting away and bidy-wise is in bad shape.

The engine and the transmission are rock solid.

Does anyone know how much it would cost to transfer the engine to a new car? I've seen '97 BMW 328 advertized on auto trader for about 3 grand. What car models would I be restricted to if I went this route?

The 2nd alternative is to sell the car. What kind of a market is there for the engine/transmission and any estimates on what it may be worth?

thanks

Steve

The market is pretty bad for a rusted m3. I can offer you $1500 and take it off your hands

Part out would be your best bet since the body is gone. Tranny, engine, diff, brakes, seats, interior pieces, bumpers, wheels should fetch you some decent coin.
