Best 6x9 Replacement for rear

Hi guys,

Just wondering which are the best 6x9 speakers that i can use to replace the HK ones. Also which ones will fit directly into the stock holder. I know that some speakers trim sizes are diffreent then others and may not fit right.

Does anyone have any input?

There's only one speaker that fits the OEM location: the Kicker F69 free air woofers and they have been out of production for years. It's your lucky day because I am actually selling my pair! I doubt you will ever see a set for sale again. If you are interested check my sale thread:

don't need 6x9, they are in the trunk and unless you have your seets down, they are useless, take them out put some high end speakers in the front, and something shitty in the back as fillers. spend money on high end amp (s) for your fronts and a sub. Run the back of your deck. Your system will pound crystal clear. The key here is your fronts and the amp powering them... make sure you run lotsa power to you speakers, more then they are rated for...

Once you hear the difference you will realize how shitty the factory HK system realy is...

I dont think replacing those 6X9s is worth your time. the improvement in sound (if any) isnt worth the labor involved.

If you want more bass, unplug the 6X9s, tap into the signal with a line-level inverter, and get a small (or large, i guess) sub and amp.

Can regular 6x9's be made to fit?

I havent pulled the cover off to look, but I currently have the non-HK business setup. crap.

I was planning to jam a couple 12's, an amp and a pair of hi-end 6x9's in the rear this spring...
