they are rare, look sharp, are pretty reliable, are decently quick, and Saturn has come a long way. Only disadvantage I can say is that MSRP's are too high.

If GM declares bankruptcy, and I think they will
the pension plan goes too? If this is true, retirees suffer.

GM will probably sell some of the other brand, like Saturn.

the pension plan should be a separate plan so they probably will still have a pension but no as high as it should be. some employees may also get a package too.

The doors aren't plastic - it's fibreglass.

And last I checked - pretty much EVERYONE had plastic bumpers...

Yes it was GM who masterminded the sale of a Malibu to your father...

And it's FORGAVE - not FORGIVED....

I remember 2005 Malibu that my friend had on lease. The 2.2L and boxy body, the car was just too heavy to move. It was scratched up, too but they did not care when he returned it lol. I bet it went straight to auction.

Haha... I was thinking exactly the same thing! Like, oh no, is it gonna crash into us?! lol

My first car was a '98 Saturn SC2. The engine blew and needed replacement at 45,000km, which warranty somehow managed NOT to cover (long story). I put in a new engine, and by the time I sold the car with 98K on it, the transmission was nearly shot.

They've come a long way since then, but still....

Love the plastic body though. That car was always in good shape. It was run into three times in my own driveway by three different members of my family not being smart enough to look behind them when they reverse down the driveway. When my dad did it, he pretty much demolished my front bumper and wheel well.... his e46 only had 2 small dents and a paint chip on it. Both cars cost the same to fix after the fact.

GM wants $80 billion dollars!!?????

You can create a whole new company with cutting edge technology for that amount..screw that let them go bankrupt and start all over.

they must have changed then. i remember when back in the day when they had those toys and doors hitting the side of their cars. thats when they advertised they had plastic doors. then i've seen them broken before and they weren't fiberglass.
