yes, till its too late & some new whacky'ass draconian law is passed.
cause we're at the mercy of some greedy people!

and on the subject of his interpretations of ownership law with ur most epic 'u been owned booooooy' backup accreditation, i must now make jokes.

imagine if they quietly passed some new law regarding home safety?
cause we got here for road safety right.

so they pass this new law and it empowers bi-law officers to without any warrants or legal proceedings
order you to be removed from your home for a period of 7 days, while they estimate 10's of thousands in mandatory repairs to ur home, for u and ur childrens safety! and if you can't comply u forfeit

hey under ur definitions, this is permissable if a law were passed.
as they are titled to you but u don't really own them you just pay taxes & fee's on em.
and ur home is only really more protected then a car from unreasonable search,
not the 1000's of laws pertaining to proper use & compliance(s)

I read that in the uk (under the nannystate) that the police now have 250 ways to enter ur home with no warrant.
1 would be: do you have a licence for ur t.v.? yeah its L250 a year.

*sigh*

You just don't understand.

Sadly, I don't understand either... someone must have beat you senseless with an Oxford English Dictionary, because you seem scared as **** of the English language.

ah a new variant of the grammar nazi, the Oxford English Dictionary definitions nazi

all in fun, till they quietly pass a law against that too

and yeah i understood u 2;s interpretations so well that i showed how it could be drafted into a similar law regarding
ur home that 'u don;t really own'

or wouldn't anymore if seized arbitrarily on some1's whim ;ur paint looks to racy'
it could cause undue attention of people walking by, they could trip
(safety issue) so we're seizing ur house for a week, etc

did any of you locally know this pearl of info

the city of Gatineau is actually Sueing the police union for lack of performance!
yeah they the city wanted each officer to write 15 tickets per officer, per shift.
they weren' t due to being on work to rule/ strike. Gat has less then 500K pop,
lets say 10 cops on patrol (prob more), lets say each ticket is $100 x's 15= $1500
x's 10 is $15,000 a day, 7 days a week. or $420,000 a month off of less then 500k peeps.
and its probably double! and that don't include Bi-law

i sure do feel safe driving a nice car these days, yessah bossmasta sir, sure do.

I just got the conviction notice friday, doesn't say what it was dropped down to, fine was 135$ with victim surcharge, etc.

I got another one coming up, 149 over (cop dropped it from 152, i'm a ****ing genius), if i get two fat tickets on my record in 1 billing cycle my insurance company is gonna sodomize me.

2 speeding tickets.. you better use Pointts to fight it.

They charge around $350 and their success rate is pretty good,
, one of my friend used them last years(that was his 3rd speeding tickets)
and he got off free, no fine .. no point.

Damn Ivan, I feel your pain bro. I just got a conviction for my second speeding ticket but the trial was anything but fair (judge literally didn't allow me to present case, kept pointing out the car i drive for no reason, defended the officer, etc etc) so I sent it to appeal. You should definitely look at getting a lawyer for your other charge.

You must be all for the new street racing law where they can impound your car on the spot. Even though the infraction should have no tie to my personal property; which i worked hard to attain. I'm not even gonna get into my right to due process.

Your points are infantile and without merit. You would be the perfect candidate to be screwed by the very laws which you seem to hold in such high regard. I'm sorry but driving is not a privilege, not when people can't afford to live downtown (due to tax hikes and inflated property values). So therefore, many of us NEED to commute from where we live.

Even when looking up the word privilege, it's defined as a right. However, this debate is an endless one. You will always find differing responses but the way I see it, it's a right. If it were a privilege, our licenses could be revoked at anytime for any given reason, which we all know is not the case.

Lets just say for arguments sake. that Canada was being attacked by the USA, the Canadian government can restrict ALL travel. enforce curfews. all that..

The Canadian government can all of a sudden one day say NO CARS. and blow them all to hell.

it is definitly not a right,
your rights are proper trial, food and water and some other stuff.
BUT DRIVING?!?!? do prisoners drive?? can someone who is blind drive??
it is a right.. so why not allow them to drive??

well there is restrictions and procedures to obtain a license giving you the privledge to drive.

its not against the geneva convention. for RCMP officers to knock on your door and ban you from driving.
