Now what....

Need your inputs guys......

About a year ago, I got a ticket for having a plate cover on my license plate. I requested for a trial (option 3) but I never received a Notice of Trial in the mail.
Till yesterday, I got a Notice of Fine and Due Date from the City. Is there any way for me to find out if the court received my original request for a trial and possibly schedule a trial date?

I have a bad feeling that they never received my original request for trial so they automatically assume I plead guilty.

Anyone ever have this happen to them? Please provide your inputs.

yes you can request another court date, you will have to swear to the judge, and say that you never recieved the notice! My lawyer did this for me last week, but i dont know if you can do it without one!

Yes you can do this without a lawyer. This happened with my first speeding ticket and I went to the court, spoke to the JP and got the ticket reinstated for trial.

in the old days (90's) that would've just been dismissed, they fkd up.

now its no take another 4,5 hrs out of your life for our massive bureaucracies sake!

so we can give u a date 1.5yrs out for u to come waste more hours out of your life
so we can just find u guilty & take ur money anyways.

on a more serious court note..
any1 else notice how it seems to be taking along time for people to get their murder trials.
I keep reading about this trial or that & its always like the person on trial was arrested for it 5yrs ago.
wtf up with that? any1 else notice that?
