E34 525i.....again yes.

Well my baby sat most of the winter season in my carport...

I took it out briefly cause I still haven't done the heater core job yet. I haven't found a mechanic who can do it.. I have the part.. just no one who wants to rip out my dash to do it.

So.. I know I can take it out for short distances... you know to keep the car running... so I put fresh air into my tires. it wasent too deflated. put fresh antifreeze in and a half tank.. put fresh power steering & break fluid in let it run for about 10-15 minutes.. then took it for a few laps around the block...

But my 525i was over heating again... and .. to be honest this cars starting to scare the sh!t out of me. theres like a hose right beside the engine where steam coming out of.... and my dad thinks its no problem but I dont know what could cause the car to over heat again... the heater core shouldent.

but I put a new rad into it thats why immma freakin...

oh yeah and after the 15 min warm up and the few laps.. i parked it.. and when i came out later.. a shitload of oil leaked on to my driveway.. and my dad gave me shit about that too...

any ideas?!?

Replace the hose, they're pretty cheap, where is the oil leaking from. Is it coming from where the transmission and engine meet, is it coming from towards the front?

If you're in Rexdale check out chucks Auto, he's been around for many years and hes at Kipling and Rexdale.

looks like its coming from the front of the bumper... ya.. like forward wheel area.

Rexdale & Kip .. so beside the Canadian Tire area?.. might car might make it that far.. might need to let it cool down.. I'm sick of towing the bloody thing.

I put like a quart of oil in it.. some cheap 10w30 shit... its possible my oil filter just needs to be changed?

An old oil filter wouldn't make it leak...

Have a good look at the engine from underneath the car and try to pinpoint where it's leaking from. If it's really dirty down there, just grab a cloth and wipe it all down. Replace that hose, it should be cheap. Once that's done, drive it or run it for a short while and new oil should leak out where it was wiped clean... it'll make it easier to find the source. If you topped it up, check the level and make sure it's right.

^^ Very good advice, this will help you pinpoint the leak, and possibly the problem.

Good Luck.
