Water pump

Hey all, I was driving down st-laurent last night when the light of my battery on the dash started coming on intermittent. I didnt think much of it until it stayed on, then the power steering stopped working. So I pulled over and saw the fan belt was busted and the fan kind of seemed wobbly
I'm thinking its the water pump, am I wrong???
What I am looking @ price wise for repair?
Is this common on these cars?

Same problem can be caused by seized alternator...So it has to be checked out...

mine was definitely the water pump and Charlie at Bimmersport had me back up and running in under 24hrs, and from all the quotations I got on the water pump and labour, Bimmersport could not be beat

So the shop just called, yup it is the water pump, it also broke the pulley.
So the car will be in the shop for 2-3 days until they can find a pulley, the dealership don't have any @ the moment... any ideas?
