china has the money and manpower,why cant they at least design a well made car that is good looking without copying someone else designs.

manpower and money have nothing to do with making and designing a car - e.g. Soviet Union and their cars - design and quality are not something you learn but inherit from previous generations in your culture - e.g. Germans (quality) and Italians (design).
