Exclamation 94 - 98 (roughly) front light fog?

it's hard to explain thats why the topic name is a little fu*ked and i dont know when the years of the lights were brought into effect and then dropped but anyways here is my question...

everytime i see a bmw in that range (1994 - 1998) the front lights always look like they have fog or some type of condensed air in it and i see it in ever car in those years that have those types of front light and covers...

my question is what is that? is it supposed to have the foggy look or is that a problem with those cars that have that style lights?

those style of fogs are present in all e36s. as for the condensation, it happens, but sometimes it's just the fact that they are pitted from stonechips from daily driving, and that's why they don't look too clear.

Yes, the "fog" you see is condensation inside the assembly. This means the assembly is no longer air tight (sealed completely), cracked lens or improper installation of the rear cover.

That's a very minor problem. C'mon, are you $hiting me?, you're telling me you will not buy '98 with 60K, mint shape because "foggy" foglights? You can buy them used (some of which still look brand new) between $15-$50.

Nah man, I meant cause I have ellipsoids.

They are foggy because they have a lot of stone chips and have yellowed over time. But thats a dumb reason not to buy a car.....

You cant replace the old cover, its glued on tight. If you peel it off, you ruin the headlight. Here do this......

yes, for USED ones, and not just for the cover, the entire foglight minus the brackets.
