Classroom Sessions
All participants are required to attend classroom sessions to learn vehicle dynamics and driving techniques. These sessions will continue throughout both days to help you understand the fine art of high speed driving. Failure to attend will result in loss of driving privileges.
Tech Inspection
All participants will receive a Pre-Event Safety Inspection Report. This form may be downloaded from the website. You will be required to have a qualified individual/mechanic inspect your vehicle and verify its safety. This inspection should be performed within three weeks of the event. Our technical inspection crew will collect all Pre-Event Safety Inspection Reports and perform a spot check of every vehicle. Tech inspection will take place on Saturday morning from 7 AM to 8 AM. You are solely responsible for insuring that your vehicle is safe before you arrive at the track. Failure to present a completed Pre-Event Safety Inspection Report or failure to pass our spot check will disqualify you from participation in the event and your entry fee will be forfeited.
Other Requirements
All participants must present a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years of age. All participants must wear helmets bearing one of the following certifications: Snell SA2000, SA2005, M2000, or M2005. The older Snell SA95 or M95 certifications are no longer accepted. All cars must have two seats of the same type, a dashboard, and equivalent seatbelts/harnesses for driver and passenger. Racing harnesses are forbidden unless the car is equipped with a roll cage or a roll bar. 4-point harnesses are forbidden. Convertibles must have approved roll bars and the “broomstick rule” applies. For further clarification concerning convertibles, please contact our Chief Instructor.
No one under the age of 18 will be allowed in the pit area unless accompanied by an adult.
Please keep in mind that this is not a race event but rather a safe, high speed driving school, conducted on a closed track under close supervision by experienced instructors. You will learn how to handle and control your vehicle at speeds not normally attained on public roads. This will help to prepare you for emergencies in normal driving. It will also allow you to explore your capabilities as a driver and those of your vehicle. At no time will you be pushed or encouraged to go any faster than is comfortable for you. All participants will be organized into run groups in accordance with experience, skill, and type of vehicle. Participants will be required to drive with an instructor on board unless and until they are 'signed off' to drive solo. Under no circumstances will timed laps be permitted! If you are seen with a stopwatch or any other timing device at any time during the event, the club reserves the right to ask you to leave and forfeit your ability to participate in this event. Such infringement might also lead to a longer event participation suspension
It is strictly forbidden to consume any type of alcoholic beverage on track property during an event until the track is officially closed, which is generally after 5pm. This applies to everyone, participants and visitors. There is NO exception to this rule. All participants and visitors must respect this policy and understand the event organizer has the overall responsibility to run a safe and clean event and thus has the authority to expel anyone seen not complying with the safety policy.
