yupz, lots of school of thought on 'your main residence as an investment'
1 could say if your just living there & not generating income its just an 'expense'
but u have to live somewhere & as you said you'll own it eventually.
alot of guys i've known have gotten a place & room out to bro's, more out of necessity then profit.
but some end up making a few hundred + mort, prop tax every month.
get to party with buds while paying off house
but having your own space, zero issues or dramma is worth $omething
