It is VERY HARD to understand what you are trying to say, but i think it might be the linkage (altho never seen one of them go!)...if not, then transmission it is!

Ok let me try to decipher what he is trying to say...

"I am able to shift into fifth gear and the clutch is still good. However When I put the shifter in first gear... i'm able to move it horizontally from first gear to fifth gear (straight across). I'm able to make full cicles with my shifter (move from corner to corner without going through the centre. I think it's the tranny linkage?"

hope that helps anyone

lol srry i wrote it right after and it really got to me.

i was driving my car, just when i was putting it into 5th gear the shifter went loose.

its felt like there was nothing there .i was able to move the shift around anywhere.

i took a look and theres no leaks, smell and it never made a sound

Linkage. You must have an older E36 with high clicks because I have seen some E30 with this issue.
