As for the looks. I like how 530i drive. I preffer the looks as well. The GS is starting to get dated to me at least.
I always smile when I see post like this one on a single marque forum, it's akin to going into a whore house and asking everyone to repent.

"SOUL" there is that word again.. it must be a Canadian thing because I only hear Canadians say that German cars have soul. I own both Japanese and German cars, the only time one car have more soul than the other is when I'm playing R&B music.

Plain and simple if you like the car buy it.

That's too funny!

^ I can say the same for my buddies that pay premuim for acura/infiniti parts. Those cars are there for the reasons.

Also GS may have a good race for resale value with stock 530i auto. 530i sport are more pricey. As for M 530, GS300 has no chance. IMHO

I have had Acura's for many years - no major expenses on them - parts are not that expensive if you know where to shop.

Now the BMW I had was a much different story...

Used GS400's are much more... don't know how they fair the the M's in the way of pricing, but I expect it to be up there...

The problem is that you are not reasonable. The E46 can be 1999 323 full of bugs and 2006 325ci where buggs had been worked out.
I drove 99 and 06 E46 and the difference is there. Age wise that is a lot. The same goes for 1984 E30 and 1992. That is just how things are. Sorry to hear about your E46 issues you had.

If you want bmw vs acura thread, open one in OT section.

The E39 already feels soft and cushy (M5 notwithstanding). The GS300 will feel like driving, no, WAFTING on a magic carpet.

I spoke with a close friend of mine that works for the Bmw sales dept. He just told me to get a CPO car and enjoy the life/dont worry about anything. I made up my mind. 20K down and pay up rest. I am sort of not excited because It will be the E60. I like the E39 better. He told me it's not worth buying someone's junk for little less and dumping cash for the repairs.... Wasting my time with mechanics when I should be chasing the women at my age.

LOL, if you told me he was BMW sales... I could have quoted him word for word. , it's their job to up-sell.

Congratulations on your purchase, I'm sure the E60 will grow on you.

He does not really care if I buy from his dealership. The main focus was to give me the decent advise. I was looking for a car to enjoy and to have peace of mind as well.
