Cheap gas, but why so little availability?

I noticed that the price has been cheap recently and I haven't heard of any major issues with supply/refinement in the past few days, so why is it that so few gas stations across the GTA have any fuel available for purchase? It's been like this for about 2 days. Am I missing something here?

I heard on 680 yesterday that there was a fire or something at the local esso refinery or distribution plant. apparently there are only 2 gas stations in operation in scarb. most esso stations are dry.

^^^ LOL - you have NO IDEA what you are talking about here. Reduction in production results in higher prices, not availability - when have you seen a reduction causing shortages? This isn't the first time it's happened.

Because of the bad weather we've had - many of the distribution centers took their drivers of the road - first reason why stations had low supply.

The second is as Zackman said - one of the major distribution points (not a refinery) had a mechanical failure that shut it down for 36 hours.

These two reasons coupled together created shortages in the GTA. Surrounding areas, like where I am in Milton, saw no stations without gas.

You know why gas is cheap? Because the people on Wall Street cant create the artificial inflation of oil prices like they did before because all the capital they were using to do it has dried up. So now we are getting the real prices. But in about 2-3 weeks when Obama gets office itll be game over.

Its not recession. Its bullshit.
