My beater is a slammed E46 328i w/17" Bridgestone Blizzaks. I love navigating through deep snow ploughing everything with my Hamann front lip.

06 Chev Impala. Kumho winter tires and remote start.
Awesome car, so glad I bought it. It's never been stuck until me and the buddies decided it was time to try to get it stuck. So we went out after poker night at 5 in the morning on monday nite and drove through 2 and a half foot drifts sometimes, but it was a foot and a half snow sometimes more steady the whole way. Snow was flying up over the hood and covering the windsheild I was plowin yeehaaaaw!
We finally got it stuck turning left up a hill.
I cracked the front bumper hitting an ice chunk in the road though.....

no pics of that but here she is.

A Newer Chevy 4x4 SUV with New amazing Snow Tires.
It's an absolute tank in the snow; stopping, cornering, accelerating.

As good as the Subaru and Audiís are in the winter, my setup blows them away.

I love the truck so much, that I want to replace it with an 07 or 08 version as the prices are so low right now.

I somehow doubt a trucks stopping ability is much better if at all.

+1 on that!!! Along with the cornering and accelerating! I love my truck too, but there are some things a 2.5 ton vehicle cant do so well...

It's called Truck Snow Tires. Thanks for coming out though.

I've Driven A4's in the winter, with snows. The SUV locked in 4x4 with good snows is better, hands down.

Accelerating in Deep snow, off the line, the little AWD Audi's and Subaru's can't match a 4x4 SUV.

Fil, AWD has nothing on a 4x4 which is locked in 4Hi. And just to be clear, 4Hi is for highway speeds.

Like I said, Audi's and Subaru's are good in the snow, but a 4x4 with snow tires is much much better.
