I joined the E30 club...
Picked up this E30 yesterday...
1991 318i convertible, 202,000kms, black on tan vinyl interior, hardtop & soft top.
Needs some work (exhaust, e-brake, maybe blower motor, and some minor paintwork) but it was a good price.
Pics are crappy... but it was dark and snowing out!
Cheers,
-Paul

Yeah, the hardtop was a big selling point - I actually bought it without even looking at the soft top... hopefully that's in relatively decent shape!
btw richie - do you still have that set of basketweaves for sale?

Thanks for the info, but I'm not going to be looking into that kind of stuff yet - first priority is getting it safetied and maybe getting some nicer wheels.

thats what I had to get the rag joint for, put a new one in and then changed the car to manual steering which uses a different rag joint then the power steering.

Ahhh, I see... well, when I find out what it needs for safety I'll let you know if I need one of those.

I don't think so. Where would the switch be for it if it was?

Yeah, I'm pretty happy with it... the only spots that seem to need paintwork are around the front wheel wells and the gas door. Slight chips in other places, but nothing major.
