I thought your A/C didn't work anyway? Wasn't it 'Rudy disabled'

It was.. I can't figure it out actually. The relay for the AC fan was pulled, the wire to the compressor is cut, but even with those refitted, the blue A/C button doesn't light up. As far as I can tell from the wiring diagram, it should light up and I should get 12V at the high / low switches.

I was hoping to keep the A/C, replace the clutch without removing the compressor and I have another A/C fan too, but it looks like the line that moves around the strut tower needs to be straighten and run along the fender, so I'll need a custom line made or something. So for now, I'm going to drain the system, plug the lines the best I can and hopefully reinstall everything in the summer sometime.

Seems a shame since I have a $2100 bill from Rudy for retrofitting the system to R134a and what not. :p But it wasn't my money, so meh.

I hate you.

At least you prevented me from spending money that I can really use elsewhere.... that wheel is so sweet.

^ HAHAHA. I'm happy to oblige.

Can you believe I got it home, left it in the box and put it in the basement? No goodies until the work is done, lol.

524td mani, I've got a GT32 twin scroll that I may use, or find something that fits better when I've got the manifold on.

That's the only mani's I got.

I got the A/C evacuated today for $60, so I'm good to rip out the A/C system for now. Any tips?

Nope. I'm going to use the 524td for now, document the power, etc, and then if I find it necessary move to a really good quality one, like 666 fab and compare the difference. But if this puts down enough power to feel fun, then I'll likely leave it. I looked at a TCD log manifold and can't see how this will flow any less, and the 524 is split pulse. :? :?

Anyway, time will tell if it works out.

It's good, but i think since the flange is so close to the valve cover you are limited to what size turbo you can run. I think you can fit I decent one with a on-center turbine housing..

Yeah, worried about that. Might get an extra split flange for a spacer. Think that would work?

It should.....I think you would have enough room above to raise it up a few inches.

Which one do you have? In a month or so when I have the manifold on and measurements taken, I might be interested.
