Yeah, this will be my new years resolution.
"I solemnly vow to encourage my engine to ingest more air than it can naturally accept. In return, I will supply with with love, affection, extra fuel and careful cooling. Together, we'll be harmonious."

My turn !
I solemnly sware to ram more air presure into the m42 then it will ever naturally accept. In return I will supply with over fueling injectors and major cylinder bore wash... Together there will be banging, over heating, and flying piston rod's ...I DO!

Some weird shit going on in this thread. If that's what it means to go turbo, I'm really glad I'm N.A.

All I got was "Forced Induction Engine Tuning" by A. Graham Bell, which so far, is kick ass.

January 2003, a lot more recent than Corky Bell's book. Still, a lot of the information is not necessary to be 'current' since the most interest parts of the book are the theory and formulas coupled with examples.
For instance, this book has a great example of a Nissan with 8psi boost, in which they increase it to 10psi, retard the spark just enough to stop detonation and develop 12 less hp. It explains how the late spark causes the exhaust temps to greatly increase, which heats the piston / cylinder walls, increasing the intake charge's temp, lessening its density and developing less power overall. Very specific and accurate info, it seems.
I'm only 1/4 way through.
