Our cottage is on Moon River, plus we own a cottage rental website, so if anyone is looking to rent check out www.findcottage.ca

It's nice for scuba diving, fishing etc. bur lots of rocks so not really a great place for "beach activities" (at least not in front of the cottage).

Round Lake up near Barry's bay.

...There's an abandoned airport up there (5 mins away) that was built as part of the "Pine Tree line" in the 50's. It was built for interceptors in case Russia attacked. Long enough to land a 747.

Pretty dope, they have since locked the gate however once and a while people cut it and you can drive in and dick around. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killalo...echere_Airport

2km long

I bought the last lot on this lake 10 years ago but I still haven't built a cottage.

Lake on the Mountain, Prince Edward County
the lake is 200' higher than Lake Ontario and only 200 yards away
3kl in circumference, building allowed on only 40%

I'll hopefully build something in 2009...

Temagami Ontario...1 hour north or North Bay. Most beautiful part of Ontario...best part is there is only 2 other people on the entire lake. Peaceful..

And yes wakeboarding FTMFW!

I been to my friend's cotage in Midland and parent's friend at Apsly close to Peterborough. Man the Midland was pure ghetto town with lake ontario style beach.
Now when I went to Pe - town, it was a blast. The lake had that rocky landscape, there was no sand. It was just amazing.

I agree with Terry's opinion, but some cotages would not get me bored. lol It depends where it is. From what I have seen it's all about money. YOu pay less you get shity one, you may more you get better.
