I once left my phone in a cab on newyears. I realized that I lost it and called it about 30 mins after I left it, and my buddy was in the cab comming to the same party.
Now that was weird!

If you remember the taxi's number it should be a little easier to track him down, because I think there are no two taxi's with the same number. So you can try calling city council/city hall or w.e and ask for his contact number?

thats sucks bro, but if it is wedged in between the seat then when somebody sat down and maybe somebody else was calling it might have hit the send button and answered it. I know sometimes that happens to me. But dont give up hope you will find it.
