They sell the cars for whatever was owed on them so usually its damn good deals.
Newer cars go through the big auctions, and get close to fair market wholesale values.
Depending on the repo company (Bank, vs private), they vary in price.
A 98 Tercel would never go through the big auction houses. $500 for a 98 Tercel is a good deal, but is repeatable; repo or not, you couldn’t get too much more at an auction.
