One of the most competitive times to buy electronics, particularly TV's is just before the Super Bowl, this is the last time for Companies to generate large volumes of sales, so it becomes very price competitive. Plus, Retails know that once Christmas bills come in, no one will be buying large ticket items for a long period of time. Again the longer you wait the cheaper technologies gets, so wait the extra month after Christmas, and buy when they start advertising for the Super Bowl.
I would stick to large retailers, that aren't in danger of bankruptcy....an estimated 30% of US retailers are looking at bankruptcy/restructuring after Christmas
\'];/, if they don't get the numbers they need. Canada can't be that different.
Plus I would only buy a brand name, 1080i, why get something you'll want to replace in 2 years or less. Once you watch HD, you'll find you won't watch any other channels.
For Shopping on the picture, do the side by side comparison in the store, your eye will tell you which one looks best.
