Picked up the 73 2002

So here it is

1973 BMW 2002 white, sold body and drivetrain it was stored for the past 15 years, so it has very minimal rust, has a new gas tank and exhaust, got brand new set of Bilstein shocks that came with that I'm going to install.
new seals and chrome trim for all the windows and some interior bits,
Bosch Ecode head lights and 2 pairs of spare tail lights.

Looks like a solid car! The rear fender wells have been changed I think already. Front fenders looks alright! Good score on the new shocks. It looks like it has A/C? Its not a euro, but its definitely a mixmatch of parts. Looks like 72 bumpers, 74 front nose panel, etc... whats up with the roof? Ragtop?

Oh yeah the roof its different it opens all the way to the back seat its bigger than regular roof.

Its a project , I think the body is in ok shape.
Needs a tune up, I'm looking for a weber dual carb if anybody has one for sale.
Going to work on the paint and interior in the winter.

great buy! i would love to get my dad one of these in good condition, he had a baby blue 74 2002 way back in the day when he first came to canada, although he calls me an idiot for wasteing money on cars, when he tells me stories of his 2002 i see his eyes light up!

The reason I love the 2002 so much its because of my dad, he had a 73 tii in orange Inca when I was couple of years old.

Welcome to the club. Car looks O.K. but The Crazy One is right, early bumpers and late front grill. Definately not a euro but who cares. That sunroof would have me worried about rust issues under the rear seat, hope not. Regardless, it's a good score, you'll have to join the other regional 2002 owners for a cruise next summer.

Send me a pm if I can come look at it, might have some parts for you.
