Auto Starter/Alarm System Combo

Can anyone recommend a good auto starter/alarm system? The stock locking system on my car has a short in it somewhere and I don't really want to spend the money for someone to go through the entire system to find the short when I can just buy a new system with the bonus of an auto starter. I've been looking online without much success since craigslist and kijiji are just endlessly spammed by a bunch of garbage. I'd like to get one that has a pretty good distance and would work well with a 1997 328i. Also, if anyone has any hook-ups for installation or a cheap system send me a PM.

Thanks

I had All Electronic Solutions in London install a remote start/alarm combo on my car, it's also a 5 speed. I forgot the actual cost of it though but it's been working great for the 3rd winter now.

Thanks Skeezix. Anybody else have any info on them? Maybe a brand or something that is good and can be trusted?

I have Viper starters on all my rides. They vary based on feature. No problems. I had Ultra Auto Sound in Mississauga install them. Owner's name is Saied - 905-270-5355.

Now do those come as starters as well as alarm systems or are they just the starters? I'm looking for one of those combo kinda systems so that I don't need 2 different remotes for the alarm and then another for the starter. Also, did you guys both just show up and they provided the system or did you buy it and just have them install it?

This is the setup on my car. Alarm and starter on 1 remote for a manual transmission.

All Electronic Solutions has this product in stock, I just dropped off the car, and they did everything.

So I have been shopping around and have pretty much found that the best way I would like to go with my remote starter/alarm system is to buy my own system from somewhere and get someone to install it. Many of the systems out there and that you guys have suggested are great, but I like the crazy high tech kinda ones, lol. So I found this system and was just wondering if anyone has heard of it before or know anything about the company it's made by.

Thanks
