Other than normal wear and tear (tires and clutch - mainly due to clutch delay valve) I only experienced one issue, driver seat stoped reclining. This wasn't an issue for me since I was the only driver and it was already set to my liking.
Miki, I'm not trying to get on your case but during the maintenance cycle of these cars some times one can buy a car that was well maintained or not... drive it for a while without any problems then when they sell the car... guess what happens... .
My point is... although maintenance records can be altered and don't always tell the whole story, buying a car with em may cost more but it is most likely worth it. If you buy a car without them you absolutely don't really know what you are buying. The sad story is when you buy from a used car dealer and even if the maitenance records were with the car most user car dealer will not give em to you or admit to having them.
*To the original poster Souvrain, if you have the maintenance records (sounds like you know the history of the car) and you have done your research you may be getting a pretty sound car, certainly not the lottery that most of use have been through and looking at you profile your already know about BMWs.
