feels a lot better. as for the board, its a lil less over hand with this setup and they dont have any wider board. the widest board is the morrow source and its only 5mm wider than this one :S but $100 more and thats over my budget
Try a different store. 5mm wider waist width is significant. You need around a 260mm waist width with your size 13's. 255mm minimum.

Good timing of this thread. I'm looking @ getting my son a new board since he had a growth spurt - he's about 6'1, 140 lbs, and has size 10.5 feet. He's been boarding casually for four years and will go to places like Blue Mtn. Can anyone recommend a setup that I can research? Thanks.

Holy shit. A 154 might be a bit short for you, I think 157 would do you well, they are easier to find in wider waists. 154 might be a bit small once you get off the bunny hill given your height, as your center of gravity is higher than most 140 lb people.

with the doo doo dollar, I cant find a decent board for my budget - ($150)

I'm gonna try it out sometime this week or next. At the shop the tech (410 & bovaird location actually had someone knowledgeable) made me lean on a mat to check if my toe would dig. At the point of carving my toes still have a good 20mm before hitting the ground and my heel - i'd have to do something extremely stupid to dig it in. We'll see how it works out.

Will post pics of the new setup when I have actual sunlight through the window.

exactly what i was thinking. i had a hell of a time finding a double wide board for my size 13's... heres a pic of my setup going up the lift ...

so are you on a wide board now? that still looks like a 250-254mm waist tops judging and seeing how your boot over hangs just like mine
