Does anybody here have one?

did that have any effect on your career?
i've thought about getting for quite a few years, but i'm just a little worried about not getting penalized because of it

i dont have any tattoos.

but every time ive seen someone with a wrist tattoo I cant help but think to my self this person is a tool. Even after I get to know them a little they seem to have some sort of emotional problems. A girl I know has the Amazing grace notes tattooed down her wrist. It looks retarded.
At least its unique, but the other common one is the that leaf like patern around the wrist.

why is that?

a tool would be
1. a black kid becoming gangster kid
2. a white kid becoming a skater kid
3. UoWaterloo students all wearing ambercrombi and finch (typically)
4. emo person cutting themselves up
5. white kids only listening to metal/rock
6. black kids only listening to rap/R&B

but back on top
wrist tattoos are dope! but consider the real world. thats what stopped me from getting my wrists tatted. i was say lay off that wrist tat for now. unless you know you're staying where you are for ever, then by all means.

maybe when i work for myself then i will get those wrists tatted

Rightly or wrongly, wrist tattoos may not be accepted by employers. If you are going to get one, make sure it can be covered by the cuffs of your sleeves when you go in for interviews.

I have a tattoo on my wrist of a dragon... its about 4" X 2"...

Hasnt affected my career nor prevented me from getting better jobs. also my boss and coworkers like it and asked questions about it. I recently started a job with the government... You can cover it when needed. Tattoos are becoming more acceptable i wouldnt worry too much about it.

IE: covered it at my sisters wedding with a braclet, at work when in meetings or interviews etc ill cover with a long sleeve shirt... also my parents didnt know about them for a couple years after i got it... quite easy to hide.

Im planning on getting a pheonix on my other wrist. lol

I want a half sleeve...which would usually be covered by a dress shirt in the office. However, I can't do it because I dont want to ruin my chances of becoming a lawyer. However, I know a couple guys in my program with fore arm tatoos and they do not seem to worry. For now, my back is done (from shoulder to shoulder) and I want another one, however dont want it in a random place, and feel I would only settle for a half sleeve. Its an annoying and tough call.

Im not a big fan of the tattoo, dont get me wrong I see some that do look really nice but I guess my mind set is still bback in the past. Im an assisstant construction super at a condo downtown and I have to deal with the owners on a weekly basis. How would i look if i had a few piercings and tatts? would i be willing to throw on a long sleeve everytime they came on site? what about in the summer 30+ degrees? I honestly dont see what could be so important that i would need to put on my body for the rest of my life.

I plan on getting a tatto, but on my upper arm or shoulder where it can't be seen when at work while wearing a t-shirt. Some places see tattoo's as a sign of not being reliable or whatever. I have heard about this happening and been told by people who do hiring at companies. I say go for somewhere a little less obvious.

I am very anti tattoo. I associate them with gay sailors and prostitutes.

I have a hard time accepting tattos and would not hire if I noticed one. I like the way they look however keep them covered up.
