Help Trying to buy a 2002

Hi

I'm trying to buy a 1973 2002 I have the VIN how can I get more info on the car, I'm being told that its a euro car.
Oh yeah nothing came up on the rex system at the BMW dealer.

John how can you be asking us this question, normally it would be us asking you can't believe the dealer computer isn't showing you anything.

I know, they are telling me that it could be a euro car, nothing is showing up in my system, so I was hoping some body on maxbimmer may be able to help.

got a pic of this 2002? are you trying to get an authentic original unmolested one or are you just curious with regards to the VIN?

Vin Is 2589881 its only a 7 dig # nothing comes up in the rex at my work Parkview BMW

DING! and the winner is....

2572070 to 2593704 is 2002 Right hand drive (USA) Model 71. Production between April '71 and Aug. '73. One of 21,635 made during this period. Euro cars have flush front turn signals, no side marker lights and rear plate lights are in the bumper and not on the rear bodywork. My 1602 is Euro model, there are plenty of pics around here somewhere.

Dealership will have nothing on this but ask Mike in your parts department, he may know the car.
