E39 M5 Carbon Buildup Problem

For those of you who don't know and were asking about, E39 M5's suffer from carbon build up.

WOW, that's a lot of works to do.
Any chemical way to clean it up?

You can try using Sea Foam! I saw the Parts Source store in Richmond Hill selling Sea Foam. They were displayed at the front near the clearance section so I'm not sure it it is a product that all Parts Source stores carry as normal stock but they had alot in stock.

I am curious what causes it in the first place?
Poor maintenance? No HIGH RPM driving to clean the shit out of there, etc/

I hear that driving at high RPM's does help

It could be as simple as the gasoline that is used and the fuel mappings. IMO it stand to reason that if there is excesive carbon build up at the tail pipe then there maybe carbon build up in the engine as well. On another board we have been noticing and keeping track that some gasoline brands do cause more carbon build up at the tail pipes.
