I've logged plenty of donuts before the snow started
Actually to be honest, with 235 falkens and cold days (even before snow started today) I have no traction in boost in 1st, 2nd or 3rd, even a 4th gear pull can be hairy.
I actually did jump on the clear corners band wagen , but my passenger side one was broken so I went back to ambers (my rears are still red/clear), I don't really mind it either way, but for some reason on my car I don't like the way the amber looks with the carbon fiber, just doesn't look right, I think I'm going to try smoked when I replace them this time.

I was only running 8psi right now. I'll be cranking it up in the spring, need to buy some dyno time do do some tuning and winter has been coming to quickly this year.
I should be making 400whp and somewhere in the neighbourhood of 1 bar of boost when its all said and done.

Sorry I don't have any pics of the charge pipe routing, I already have the car stored away so I cant take any, PM me in the spring and I'll show you. Basically the turbo is clocked such that the discharge is pointed up, I have a cast aluminum 90 degree bend welded directly on the compressor housing. The charge piping comes off the 90 and runs below the manifold and then bends down right before the AC compressor, then it just squeezes threw by the sway bar and to the intercooler. It takes some time to mock everything up to run them this way but it is possible. My car is way to low for me to have run them under the subframe like most of the kits do, I already scrape my X-brace on the ground so I couldn't afford to have anything else lower than that.
Yes I made the downpipe, that also takes a bit of slow mockup to do with 3" if you want to make sure you don't sacrfice any ground clearance and also not have any vinrations from pipes touching frame, its slow but easy enough. For the wastegate tube, I started with the SPA peice but it wouldn't fit past my turbine housing so I just chopped it up and made that too. I really like the way I have it routed, the entire packaging of the turbo, downpipe, WG tube, WG, Oil Drain, and X-brace are very tight but look very sweet, I'll try and remember to post dsome pics of it in the spring.

Wow, car looks great. It's so refreshing to see a cleanly modded not overdone BMW. Car really looks excellent Pedro. If it were me the only thing I would do is go back to OEM tails with the amber, to match upfront, but I'm a amber fan on black, I like the minimal contrast it offers.

Thanks for the compliments guys!! very much appreciated,
to be honest the amber has grown on me, I still have amber tailights at home, I may toss 'em back on and kick it old school again for a bit.
The one eyebrow has been like that for a long long time now, its sort of become an ongoing joke, so I haven't done anything about it. I figure I'll cross that road when I get ZKWs again.

man your car is sweet
how much did it all cost you to do the whole turbo deal yourself? did you have to build your engine at all for it?
