Trunk not locking....

Hey guys,

Whenever i lock my car through the key remote, the trunk does not lock with the rest of the car. When i open the trunk when it is locked the alarm goes off.

Any ideas on how to fix this or has anyone had this problem before?

thanks,

Phil

the fix is really easy, all you have to do is take out some plastic clips in the trunklid, then its just 2 bolts to take out the actuator and put a new one on there.

i dont know how much it costs so shoot me an offer

Before replacing the actuator, remove the interior panel of the trunk lid and check if all the rods are in their places. The actuator makes 2 or 3 small rods move and those lock the trunk/disable the trunk lock button. They are fixed to both ends with plastic clips and if one is not clipped in place, the actuator will do its job but nothing will happen.

had this problem. thought i would have to replace the acutator. i said **** it im gonna fix it myself, opened her up and realized that the little hook on the metal spring snapped off. all i did was stretch the metal sring and made a new loop at the end and DONE. 20 min job saved at least $100 if taken to dealership.
