Need info on V8 swap

It'll cost you probably twice as much, and for less power and more headaches. Power mods are also WAY more $$$$ for the BMW V8. It's also quite a bit larger and heavier than the LSx. Used parts for the LSx motors are also plentiful and cheap, and there is a huge aftermarket in place. Just my two cents, but you'd be making a BIG mistake going with the bimmer motor...

I dont understand people who swap out bmw motors for other bmw motors, particularly v8's.

Americans did one thing well. build huge V8's that make shitloads of power. Germans build agile cars that were well balanced.

Seems like a match made in heaven, i'd do it in a second.

Joe hasen't finished his swap yet, he bought a murcielago, and since then hasen't been too interested in bmw's.

Not everybody is interested in horsepower numbers. Having an all BMW hybrid in other peoples eyes are more precious than the ponies put out by an LS(x).

Heck I don't even like to say Chevy and BMW in the same sentence.

i guess i'm not much of an enthusiast then. I'd murder you all for an LS1 in my e36. well, mabye not dave & nelson, unless this new ls1 powered e36 isn't ever going to break.
