The rebuilt title is a worry but it looks damn nice in the pics.

Rebuilt title means nothing. It could have been a bumper and lights to total it...

Speaking of bumper, I like that front lip. Is that the aero lip? Same as Chromius'?

That lip isn't the same as mine. That one looks smaller. Unless it's just a trick of the light.

As for the rebuilt title, personally I would stay away. I think it would need a lot more damage than just a bumper and lights to total. I had a friend with 2000'ish A4 get almost 10g'S worth of damage from a rear ending and insurance chose to repair.

Although if the price is good enough I suppose it's worth checking out.

Not always true Joe.

Rebuilt title means heavy damage. Not just hood or bumper or front end damage, a lot more. Sometimes you get lucky and get a rebuilt car that has been fixed by a reputable bodyshop.

Other times you buy one that needs tires every 5 months, has lots of electrical issues and when its time to sell, turns off interested buyers.

Get a M bumper.

Even a good e39 needs tires that often

Seriously?
I thought it was only for 540s (rear tires).

True the front's aren't that bad. I would imagine the rears would be bad on any e39 with the sport package though. Since there's quite a bit of negative camber.

Rebuilt is based on dollar value. Old cars with expensive replacement parts get totalled easily...

My old car was a rebuild. Back window was worth over 1g alone. The value of the car at the time of the accident was 10k. Throw in a trunk, bumper, tail lights, paint and labour...

My car isn't an M, don't need an M bumper. That lip is really nice though. Subtle. I like.

A lot of times rebuilt titles involves frame/door frame damage.
Unless it can be proven what exactly was done (receipts/invoices) its not a good idea to buy one. Because you just never know.

As for spoilers, I searched a bit as I was curious. But there are a few for non-M. I like the OEM aero spoilers.

Rebuilt cars in Qc have a special safety with a xray or something to check the frame for cracks or bends, yet we have a ton of rusty ass civics driving around.

this thread has been going on since Oct. 2008. LOL
I didn't bother reading the whole thing since it's 42 pages...but can some brief me on what the main topic of discussion is (besides sending links to cars that should be bought). The links in the thread are so old they don't work except for the last two. LOL
