At that mileage, it's all been done already, twice!

Is that the one at Mycar in Richmond? Apparently it's a huge POS.
From my buddy who went to see it:
Quote:
I had a look at this "car" about 6 weeks ago (they were asking $1,000.00 more back then) ..
It has more rust that my 325 .... the picture is of the "good" side.
When I looked at it, it was running on 5 cylinders, needs a clutch, needs shifter bushings, needs a rad,
needs a water pump, needs rust repair, missing rocker trim on the passenger side, needs a climate control module,
needs a drivers seat, need brakes, probably needs a front end overhaul .. tie rods control arms ca bushings ...
all in all what I would call a real POS!
|
I'd sell my car at that price...

If he drops it more, I may buy it for parts.

I lowballed the guy badly, and the speed he said OK made me think I should have lowballed way more. They should clean up nicely, and eventually I'll get a 1.5 or 2" lip to make them 15x7.5 or 15x8.
They will look good on my wife's e30, and make a good project to refinish.

Sweet deal. How much did you end up paying, if you don't mind my asking?

I low-balled him at $450 and he took it so fast I figure I should have said $350. Anyway, at $112.50 each they're still a good deal, even for "soft" RMs.
Now I have to figure out what colour I want the centres to be. The E30 is zinno, so traditional silver works, as does black, but I think black obscures the weave. Maybe Nagorosilver? Body colour doesn't blow my hair back either.

Yeah, pretty good price for a set of BBS multi-piece wheels...
If you're asking for opinions: I think they look best in traditional silver or nogaro. Not a huge fan of the black, gold, etc for the centres.
But I like classic style

That's my conservative nature as well. I'll see if I can find a can (or two) of Wurth BBS silver somewhere. Nogaro might look good with the red and polished lips, but I have no idea where I could find it.

M30b35 donor motor for $800. Comes with a stand that rolls to hold the motor, that seats four:
