Idle on my 93 325is

hello.. during idle the car shakes really bad.. but when it gets warm it slightly stops. and no check engine light..
what might cause it to shake???

it idles between 500-1000 but my car shakes untill it warms up.. so i dunno what wrong.. unless thats normal

The car has a cold intake system. When the engine is cold it shakes like its running on 4 5 cylinders. However if you mash the trottle she pulls hard and no shaking at all. Once the engine warms up there is no shake at all... Also the check engine light does work and it does not come on at all.

Any suggestions would be appriciated.
