bealeve it or not, the guy was having trouble selling it. seems nobody wanted the touring. he had a few lowballs, but nothing close to the 10K mark.
so I got a deal

Really nice clean car - congrats!
However, I would never think that one could ask $12,500 for an stock E30 touring!? Maybe if it had an M3 engine, etc - like the one sold for $12,000 on http://www.willz.ca/ED74525.htm

agreed. 12.5 is over the top. however, I have owned a number of 'moddified' bimmers over the years, and they always seem to need more 'tinkering'. So this one I wanted to keep pretty close to stock, with the exception being stereo and wheels. I looked at a few before deciding on this touring. High on the list was the perfect body/paint, then good factory options, (love the sport seats in cloth and no AC) and the fact that they don't make them anymore.
thanks for the invite, when I get her back to the rock, I will post up.
cheers,
Blair

I wouldn't say that the car is super overpriced, it is pretty mint, and fairly rare. Definitely in the $10k range for sure and it looks like the previous owner took good care of it.
Congrats and enjoy it.
