Everyone knows (or should) know that the higher 'K" you go the less visibility you get. However, getting anything from 3K up to 8K is perfectly fine. It's start to get stupid at 10K+ for visibility.

If you think otherwise, then get into a car with 8K the visibility is amazing same goes for 6K.

My visability with 10K is just fine.
The only problem I have is they produce so much heat. The problem now is my lenses are melting and turning yellow.

HID's run cooler than hallogen. (35W vs 55W) If your lenses are melting, then there's something wrong with the lenses.

4300K ~ 4000 Lumens
6000K ~ 3200 Lumens
8000K ~ 2800 Lumens
10000K ~ 2400 Lumens

Hallogen ~1200 Lumens

Before you get too excited about the first link, here is a thread about the exact same headlight housings that I posted on another forum and asked for opinions.

Again - these are opinions but hope this helps.

I wouldn't buy those lights if I were you. That first set looks like the X3racing lights that lots of people on BF.C had problems with. Most notably not being able to see at night, and the adjusters breaking after first use. Oh and one guy's lit on fire while he was driving . You get what you pay for.
