hey man, we were talking at bimmercruise...in the red 330 parked beside you, whats up?

anyways theres lots of options for exhaust just depends on how much your willing to spend. some may be harder to find compared to others as well.

theres either cat-back(the cats are in the headers on e46s so this is pretty much a full exhaust) or rear-section only exhausts which require cutting of the stock system.

anything with headers will be significantly louder. you get can them off ebay for like $200 i think. TONS of people on e46fanatics have the ones from ebay and report good quality + decent performance gain.

uuc tse3 is common

eisenmann sounds sweet

borla with headers is awesome

remus

rogue ikon

highline is becoming more popular this is with headers

theres more but this gives you an idea
sending you a pm as well..

IMO, eisenmann and rogue sound the best...
remus has a deep tone but not really noticable unless you take off both the resonators.

Do you have the full exhaust or just the rear part?

and where did you get it. approximate how much is it after install?

I want to get an exhaust but don't want to spend like $800 i see up top you mentioned something about the rear part only. Can I only find this on ebay?

cat-back exhausts means everything from the headers back in e46s since the cats are built into the headers. any cat-back will run around the $1000 mark since its basically a full exhaust system.
they can only decline warranty work if what you changed is proved to have affected the part that's failing. ie. if your stereo goes out, there not going to decline you because of an aftermarket exhaust.
