BMWs are meant to be driven year round. Unless you're heavily modified, you suck if you store a BMW.

My lowered, on 21" summer tires aint gonna be doing shit in the snow. I did drive it all winter last year on 18's and wasn't lowered and that thing was like a tank in the snow, but forget about it now.

what if you store BMW and drive another BMW for the winter technically you will be driving a BMW all year round.
regardless of being heavily modded, some people don't drive their cars in the winter because they want to avoid having their car media blasted by sand and salt. It's more cost effective (depending on the car obviously) to store it and drive a cheap winter car than to try and maintain the finish on a high end car. I'll take a car that has been stored winters over one that has been driven winters any day.
The M5 goes away when the temperatures start getting consistently too cold for the summer tires.

Ok, you guys with the M5's I can understand. But a non-M e36 or e46? I just dont get it. And so you know, BMW has one of the worse paints I've ever seen, hardly call it high-end.

Some people like to keep their BMW's rust free. It's only about 3 months of the year.
So anyways, M5's are okay? What about supercharged 330's with 15K of mods? What about 10K of mods? where do you draw the line? Personal preference, some people care more than others.

Mine is not heavily modified but it has never been driven in winter time plus i have a 92 camry just sitting there that will handle the winter months alot better than my e46 so why not put it to use.

I previously wrote "I dont get why near-stock cars". 10-15K is hardly near stock.
