How to remove Stone chip on the windshield?

Ok I have two stone chips on my windshield and I was wondering if anyone here know where I can take it to fix it or is there any over the counter kit I can purchase and do it myself?

Thanks

there's a place outside of Canadian Tire @ Weston and 401, small little shed, they fix windshield stone chips for cheap.

I'm not sure about the quality, I was going to go there for a stone chip once, but it spread too big and he said he couldn't fix it. I think he's really cheap too, so it would be worth it for you to have it done... worst case scenario, if you end up having to replace the windshield even after he's done his work... he wouldn't have set u back that much in terms of time and $$$.

Get the touch up kit from the stealership (paint & clearcoat)
It not perfect but still one of the best out there IMO

Bimmerette,

I can actually recommend you this body shop thats on Weston rd. they do all kinds of high end cars like Ferrari's, Lambo's, Hummer, Lotus, they can even quote you and tell you how they can fix it for you..its pretty cheap let me know if you want to go that route I got my full car painted there when I used to own a show car.

Yeah, that sounds like something I may need. I only have very few chips to take care of though...what is the name of this place?

dont spend big money on getting stone chips repaired, because it will just be a never-ending battle. just do the touch ups yourself, and spend the money on getting the car fully detailed including multi-stage compounding w/ a high speed polisher.
i think the results will be Much better!

You can go to Canadian Tire, and buy the "Bullseye" Windsheild Repair kit.

Its about $15.00 + GST, and that'll do the trick rather than paying a guy $15.00 to do it you can DIY and learn something.

I don't actually think I have any scratches on my windshield...it was the body of the car I was worried about. But I assume they would have a kit for that as well.

Bimmerette,

lol he was answering my question..because I have some chips on my windshield, but let me know when you call the body shop let me know what he told you...most likely you have to bring the car to him and he can estimate a price for u...

there are some touch kits but no sure if Canadian Tire carries them...but other performance places like Performance Improvements on Qeensway would carry them. The thing with touch up jobs is you have to be very careful with steady hands...
