I bought the wheels and then brand new tires for them last year and for the most part they have been sitting on my project car ever since... Which has been sitting in a shop or garage ever since. The tires have beend driven 2000km MAX and that's being conservative (high). They are extremely light (rims are 18-19lb each) - I can easily lift each tire+wheel single-handed like I do with stock 15" and 16" sets and I'm a scrawny Asian.
That and the classic concave lipless design are the main reasons why I bought them initially.
The wheels were refinished in silver with clearcoat before I bought them, so they are in really good condition. Not perfect - for example there are some minor scuffs from lugs and careless mounting (not me!), but only if you peek in close and look in the recess. They will be covered by the center cap anyway if you choose to use them. (I don't)
FITMENTS: IMO this is the ideal non-staggered 18" tire size to maximize looks, performance and handling on our cars. They will fit pretty much any non-widebody 3 series - you may need a minor fender roll in the back if you are dropped very low. Widebodies and other series (5, 7, etc.) can be accommodated with spacers.
