no because you are paying them for the installation and paying for the parts.
you don't pay a waitress for giving you food. thats why you tip them.

It depends on the situation.
If it's a last minute, no appointment thing, and the guy did a good job and accomodated you, then possibly yes. I am often very, very busy and cannot always make appointments. I usually pay full pop, no questions or sometimes a small bonus of 5%-15% if they accomodated me last minute or went above and beyond on the work. Just my way of saying thanks & showing that I value their time and effort. If it's just straight up in and out, no additional effort or convenience, just pay the bill and be done with it.

It all depends on the circumstances.
If you deal with a company who is charging you $80-$100 an hour and paying the installers a measly $15 an hour, then I would tip the installer if he did a good job. If paying the installer directly, than maybe not.
I just installed the Viper 5701, an amazing piece of equipment, and ran new wires for my HU, speakers and sub in my Euro e30. It takes time to do a good job, I solder and shrink tube every connection.
Cost $$ to do a good job but some people offer cheap hack jobs that results in trouble after.
Here are a few pics and ideas for a rear deck refinish and 6X9 speaker upgrade tips. http://bmw.turboready.com/phpbb2/vie...hp?p=1690#1690

in my opinion it depends, if its a small shop, and the guy does a really great shop and seems like a nice person i will. ive left the guys at rmp tips, aswell as M-tricks. They are good guys charge very reasonable prices and do great work. I guess it's my way of saying thank you for taking the extra time and doing it right.
