The X6 is the coupe version of th eX5 so the X2 would be the Coupe version of the X3?

A class, small compact vehicle, B class small people carrier, R class big people carrier.
I suppose it makes a lot more sense in europe where size comes at a premium.

did I say anything about Benz making good ideas, no I don't think so, and besides the A-class has been out for years & they are selling in Europe, the B-class is also doing really well because it suits the needs for , the R-class is a mistake but people still buy them.
but I just want to know where's the market for a small 2dr SUV that probably cost more than other SUV's in it's catagory, it's just like the X6, the only time I see them on the street is when BMW employees are driving them or customers that has them for loaners.

they've been making 2dr SUV's for years, I still don't understand the point though.

I agree with you, i'm just breakin your balls! You said it best with the R class though, it's a mistake but people still buy them. I think thats how a LOT of cars get sold now a days (PT Cruiser, HHR, R Class, the list can go on forever). I know in Europe those cars make sense, but why not just get a VW or something else thats known for small compacts!? It's like people want to feel the prestige of owning a Benz or BMW, but it doesn't make sense with some of the little cars.
On the flip side, as much as i like the LOOK of the X6 (practicaliy is pretty much uselss with those cars, cause you can have an X5 for the same price)the X2 looks a bit on the stupid side, but i think theres a NEED for more 2dr SUV's but maybe not ones as small as this.
They need to bring back a SUV Coupe that was far ahead of it's time....

X2's got nothing on that!

yeah but how many companies still make small 2dr SUV's, like 2, I know Suzuki still makes them but who else, who is BMW competing against, and did they check the market, it doesn't look like anyone is looking for a vehicle like that.
