Who designed each BMW model?

Well everyone has had their opinion about Bengle or "Bungle" or "Bugle" or "Bonehead" or whatever you want to call him for designing the most recent BMW models. But who designed the other models? Like the E30 or the E36, or maybe even before that, in the 80's and such. Anyone know??

I agree, I like all the models he has designed. Only things I would change on the Z4 are the rear lights (I like the characteristic square bmw rears) and that line that's across the front side of the car (where the fender is). I think with every thing he designes he needs to keep what is characteristic of bmw the same like the kidney's (Which will never go away), or the square lights at the back, circle lights at the front. Etc.

The E65 is starting to grow on me, but I can't get over the ugly-ass front end of the Z4. Yet.

The X5 is consistently ugly along with 95% of other SUVs.

Gamite - You've just said that the Luthe Era was the best designer. It's called the Luthe Era because the designer's name was Claus Luthe.

I'm partial to Wilhelm Hofmeister and Paul Bracq myself.

he probably is. His newest creations look like he was inspired by dosing some crazy shroomz and staring at bmw's designed by Luthe.

wow those are the parent of the babies we love!!!!!

About the mail to bangle...mmmm I don't know; I think he trying to be contemporaneus? What if an early designer of them see an modern E46 or an E30? What he could say?

If bangle can keep all the BMW master lines in all his designs any of us will recognize an original BMW in them

AMEN
