How to switch off DRL?
I hooked up Angel eyes and would like to have them as DRL.
I want to switch off my current DRL but not lose High beam.
How ???

Call Bimmersport, they may be able to deactivate this feature.

bimmersport wont be able to help , its a dealer Code .. they would have to activate ur car under US mode. or the other way to get around it is loosing ur highbeams.

It is not a "dealer code" and there is no "US mode", it is activated/deactivated through ZCS coding via the LCM on the GT1/DIS tester. I have done this many times.

the problem is that it's technically illegal to get them disabled. so many places won't do it.

just so you guys know, when you unplug your drl you don't lose your highbeams, but rather the ability to flash people because the flashing feature uses the drl bulbs. the only annoying thing about doing it is the little red 'bulb out's will show up on the dash

Its a bad decision to unplug your DRL, when you get them disabled for 50 bucks and still be able to use the flash and not have a bulb out warning.

oh i know its cheap, its just that a few people here kept on saying that you lose highbeams which is untrue

interesting, on my jetta it was as easy as bending one of the pins in the headlight switch to get rid of the DRL's
I guess I'm in for a whole new game with the bmw now am I
