which oil is best for e36 m3 motor

hi i got an e36 m3 and im jus wonderin wat all of maxbimmer e36 m3 owners use and witch is the best best oil thanx

The service manual recommends 15w40 and changes at 12,000km. I am sure that the BMW engineers spent a fair amount of time testing products and service intervals so I doubt you will go wrong following their recommendations.

I'm sure that they also had to decide between what's best for the car, and what's most convenient for the owner. Many people wouldn't buy a car if they saw it needed service every 3000KM.

I use lubramoly, but i've used mobil 1, amsoil, royal purple, elf4 and others in the past.
